Pectoral etching is used to better define the pectoralis muscle by removing unwanted fat from the chest and axilla. Liposuction is performed using small incisions well placed in the lower part of the breast to remove unwanted fatty tissue and sculpt the borders of the pectoralis muscles. The procedure is oftentimes combined with gynecomastia surgery and or abdominal etching for a more comprehensive athletic look as needed.  This outpatient surgery is performed under general anesthesia and requires one to two hours of operating time to complete.
